Ben Franklin's Philadelphia Gazette showed the original design on May 9, 1754. The woodcut image was intended to unite the colonies during the French and Indian War. It appeared with an editorial by Franklin concerning the "disunited state". Paul Revere later engraved a snake divided into nine parts that appeared in The Massachusetts Spy in 1774. The Liberty Flag T-Shirt

The Original Star Spangled Banner T-Shirt
This flag flew over Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland, during the battle of Baltimore on September 13th and 14th in 1814. It measured 30 feet wide by 40 feet long. There is no explanation for the red ribbon sewn into the white stripe.
Today the flag is at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

Washington's Cruisers Flag T-Shirt
In the fall of 1775 General Washington (at his own expense) commissioned a squadron of schooners to patrol the waters of Boston. By February 1, 1776 a total of six "Armed Vessels of the "United Colonies of North America" had been commissioned.
A flag of this description was used. It was later modified and adopted by the Massachusetts Navy. No original flag survived.
